UK Select Accident Repair Centre uses In-House HR

UK Select Accident Repair Centre in Ross-on-Wye is first bodyshop to install revolutionary new HR system

Denver Rollings, Managing Director of UK Select Accident Repair Centre, said: “ HR and Health & Safety can be a minefield and I was aware that, as we’d grown as a business, things had become a bit disjointed. In-House HR brings everything together in one place.”

UK Select Accident Repair Centre in Ross-on-Wye has become the first bodyshop to implement a new human resources solution, In-House HR, developed by 21-year-old entrepreneur John Moody.

Adelle Evans, Office Manager at UK Select Accident Repair Centre, added: “John came in for a chat and I explained what we needed in terms of keeping HR records secure and readily accessible. It’s called an HR system, but it’s more than that. It replaces paper files and saves duplication. It keeps us up-to-date for our BSi 10125 Kitemark audit, and will continue to do so when that changes. I can easily share data with our Ludlow site. Whether it’s a holiday request, a reminder to renew someone’s training, or certificates for evidence of compliance for insurance companies or ISO standards, I spend a lot less time trying to find the information.”

John Moody, Managing Director of In-House HR, said: “UK Select were one of the first companies to trial our system, starting at the end of 2020. In fact, it was following a meeting with them, and coming to understand the need for an equipment inventory, that I developed the HR+ product. Their Ross-on-Wye site is quite a big operation with a bodyshop and MOT bay. They’re a trusted local business built on repeat custom. Denver was one of RML’s first clients and now he’s one of mine, so there’s a nice symmetry there.

“Overhauling outmoded HR practices often isn’t a top priority, but it should be because of the huge benefits it can bring. From doing away with notice boards which breach GDPR, to significantly improving staff recruitment and retention, we help businesses create healthier and more productive workplaces.”
